AEW acquires newly built Grade A logistics asset near Barcelona

AEW has acquired a newly built, fully let Grade A logistics asset in Lliçà d’Amunt, on the edge of Barcelona’s first ring, on behalf of a French institutional investor.

The property totals 10,737 sq m of warehouse and office space and is fully occupied by an international logistics operator specialising in the furniture sector.

Delivered to high sustainability and energy‑efficiency standards, the asset has achieved BREEAM “Excellent” certification and incorporates 100 KWP solar panels, LED lighting and other environmental features aligned with local market benchmarks.

Strategically positioned with direct access to the C‑17 highway, the asset offers seamless connectivity across the Barcelona metropolitan area, wider Catalonia, the rest of Spain and France. Located 31 km from Barcelona city centre, it is well suited to last‑mile and regional distribution operators in one of Spain’s most supply‑constrained logistics markets.

AEW manages more than 514,000 sq m of assets in Spain across logistics, offices, residential and retail, and oversees 6.8 million sq m of logistics space across Europe.
