AEW Europe to develop urban industrial park in France

AEW Europe is set to develop a 10,700 m2 urban light industrial park in Villepinte, France, following the acquisition of the former Institut de Soudure site.

This development, to be executed in partnership with Panattoni, will take place on a 19,400 m2 plot within the prominent "Paris Nord 2" business park. This strategic location, less than 20 km northeast of Paris, offers excellent road access to key motorways (A1, A104), connecting it to the Greater Paris region and Charles de Gaulle Airport, making it ideal for industrial and commercial operations.
The project involves a comprehensive refurbishment of an existing 3,700 m2 industrial building, updating it and improving its sustainability. This is expected to be completed by Q3 2026. Also, a new 7,000 m2 building will replace an outdated office structure. This new build is slated for completion by mid-2027.
Both will feature heat pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, and rooftop photovoltaic panels. The refurbished building aims for a BREEAM "Very Good" rating, while the new construction targets "Excellent," with both seeking BiodiverCity certification.
