AEW taps Anthony Butler for European Industrial head

Global real estate investor AEW has appointed Anthony Butler for the newly created role of head of Industrial & Logistics Europe

Effective March 2026, he will report to CEO Vanessa Roux-Collet and be based in London.
In this capacity, Butler will be responsible for overseeing AEW's industrial and logistics fund and asset management activities across Europe. He will also drive the continued expansion of AEW's established platform, which currently spans 11 European countries, managing over 6.4 million m2 assets valued at €8.3 bn. 
Butler will lead AEW's dedicated industrial and logistics team, managing a diverse portfolio that includes institutional funds like Logistis and Ullis, alongside various other mandates.
Butler brings over three decades of extensive real estate investment management experience from both European and Asia-Pacific markets. His most recent role was as co-founder and CIO of Mirastar REIM, a pan-European industrial and logistics platform, where he helped grow assets under management to over €3 bn in six years by investing in, developing, and selling over 70 assets. 
His career also includes senior positions such as CIO at Delin Capital Management and co-head of Global Transactions at Generali Real Estate.
