The plans include a cutting-edge facility in Hull expected to open in late 2025 and creating over 2,000 jobs. It will sit next to an 8,175 m2 delivery station from where Amazon dispatches customer orders.
Amazon will also launch another fulfilment centre in Northampton in 2026, followed by two more in the East Midlands.
This expansion, along with new delivery stations and two London office buildings near its current London HQ in the Borough of Hackney, is part of a larger £40 bn (€47 mln) investment over the next three years (2025-2027) aimed at creating thousands of full-time jobs nationwide.
The investment is projected to boost the UK's GDP by £38 bn (€44 bn).
