This move aims to enhance SEC Newgate's advisory services in corporate communications, capital markets, stakeholder engagement, and intricate transactions.

Angus Booth brings over two decades of experience as a senior corporate affairs and strategic communications advisor. He recently moved from Sydney, where he was the Group head of Corporate Affairs at Dexus Property Group, a major Australian real asset manager listed on the ASX, overseeing communications, media, and government relations.

His extensive sector knowledge in real assets also stems from previous senior positions, including Group head of Corporate Affairs at Charter Hall, Australia's largest multi-sector real estate fund manager, and a communications role at Lendlease, a global construction and investment manager, where he supported various fund platforms, development projects, and infrastructure initiatives.

Before his role at Dexus, Booth spent more than five years as senior managing director at Sodali & Co., a global stakeholder engagement and communications firm. There, he initially led the APAC region's M&A, shareholder activism, and capital markets engagement, contributing to transactions valued over USD $350 bn and positioning the firm at the top of proxy solicitation rankings. He also dedicated time to supporting Sodali & Co.'s growth in key markets across the UK and EMEA.

Alistair Kellie, practice head, Communications, SEC Newgate UK, said: “Angus brings significant experience across real estate, infrastructure and capital markets, combined with a strong track record advising boards and senior management through complex and high-profile situations. His appointment further enhances our ability to support clients on critical reputation and stakeholder issues both in the UK and internationally.”

Angus Booth, managing director, Strategic Communications, SEC Newgate UK, said: “Real assets have long been a compelling long-term investment opportunity, but today, with greater sector diversity, macro-headwinds and increasing competition for global capital, differentiation matters more than ever. The real asset sector is operating in an increasingly complex environment, where clear and effective communication and engagement with stakeholders is essential to delivering long-term value.”
