Areim has expanded its light industrial portfolio by acquiring nine properties in Linköping, Sweden, totalling approximately 20,000 m2 of leasable space.

This acquisition marks Areim's entry into the Linköping market, following its earlier establishment in nearby Norrköping this year.
The newly acquired properties are strategically located in Linköping, providing direct access to major motorways. They boast a high occupancy rate of 94%, with a diverse tenant base comprising both domestic and international companies.
Areim intends to implement targeted upgrades focused on improving the buildings' quality and energy efficiency, aiming to enhance their EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) ratings.
Kristoffer Ultenius, investment director at Areim, stated: “We see strong potential and opportunities in regional growth hubs such as Linköping, where strong local demand coupled with investments in infrastructure and a growing ecosystem around total defence, are reshaping the business environment. These dynamics create a resilient foundation for strategic, long-term real estate investments. We remain open for additional investments and ideas within the sector and are looking forward to expanding our presence and relationships in Linköping.”
This latest acquisition in Linköping enhances Areim's existing light industrial portfolio, which spans Greater Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Västerås, and Norrköping. Over the past year, Areim has significantly grown its holdings, adding 35 light industrial properties through nine separate transactions.
As a result, Areim's Swedish light industrial portfolio now comprises approximately 90 properties, offering a total leasable area of roughly 380,000 m2. The portfolio also includes substantial building rights and ongoing development projects, indicating further growth potential.
