Areim expands Swedish light industrial portfolio

Nordic fund and property manager Areim has acquired nine light industrial properties in Västerås, Sweden, totaling approximately 17,000 m2 of rentable space.

This purchase expands Areim's Västerås portfolio to about 57,000 m2 and its total Swedish light industrial portfolio to roughly 356,000 m2. 
The properties, located in key industrial areas like Hälla, Erikslund, and Bäckby, are 95% occupied by various tenants. 
Areim plans to improve these properties through quality enhancements and sustainability upgrades, including energy efficiency initiatives.

With this latest acquisition, we are increasing our footprint in the city and reinforcing our long-term commitment to the light industrial sector. We remain focused on enhancing the properties in line with our strategy, developing well-functioning assets that add lasting value to both tenants and the surrounding areas.”
This acquisition enhances Areim's current portfolio, which spans Västerås, Greater Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Norrköping. In the last year, Areim has added 24 light industrial properties through seven distinct deals. Overall, Areim's Swedish light industrial portfolio now comprises about 80 properties, offering roughly 356,000 m2 of rentable space. The portfolio also features substantial building rights and active development projects.
