Axel Logistics make key appointment for debt capital market team

Axel Logistics, the operating and asset management platform for ICG Real Estate’s Metropolitan logistics strategy, has appointed Rachael Roxburgh MRICS to the newly created role of Principal, debt capital markets.

She will support the origination, execution and ongoing management of debt across the Metropolitan portfolio.

Roxburgh brings more than eight years of experience in pan‑European real estate debt and capital markets. She joins from M7 Real Estate, where she served as investment manager, capital markets, overseeing the debt strategy for the firm’s ESCIP industrial and logistics portfolio as it expanded from €1 billion to €4.5 billion in assets under management.

During her tenure, she managed approximately €620 million of senior debt across seven pan‑European funds and executed multiple high‑value financings. Prior to M7, she worked in real estate debt advisory, focusing on complex structuring including CMBS and whole‑loan placements.

Her appointment forms part of Axel Logistics’ broader growth strategy, which has seen the platform expand across Europe and invest in its leadership team. Headcount has increased to 22 across the UK and Germany, supported by recent senior hires including Konstantin Harnacke as managing director to lead the newly established German business, Phillip Quester as transactions director in Germany, and Laura Watson as operations manager in London.

Peter Day, CEO at Axel Logistics, said Roxburgh’s experience will be instrumental as the firm strengthens its team and debt financing capabilities. He added that recent hires and the establishment of the German platform position Axel Logistics to deliver on its long‑term ambitions in core target markets.
