Global investment giant Bain Capital is injecting €150 mln into Swedish light industrial and urban logistics company Företagsparken.

This investment will fuel Företagsparken's acquisition of new properties and expansion of its current portfolio of over 200 locations in urban locations across Sweden.
As part of the deal, Bain Capital has acquired a 15.9% stake in the company, which primarily serves a diverse range of small and medium-sized businesses.
Ali Haroon, a partner at Bain Capital and head of Special Situations and Real Estate in Europe, said: "In this instance, we are providing growth capital to Företagsparken to scale its operations and seize new opportunities in the market. While the senior management team has successfully grown the company’s assets in the last years, our investment is a testament to our confidence in both the team and the promising dynamics of the Swedish industrial real estate market."
Rafael Coste Campos, a partner at Bain Capital, commented: "Demand for light industrial real estate in Sweden has been resilient, resulting in low vacancy rates and strong rental growth, trends we expect to continue in the following years. While the buildings in Företagsparken’s portfolio already meet stringent energy efficiency requirements, our investment will also focus on enhancing these initiatives.”
Leif Östling, advisor and shareholder of Företagsparken, said: "Bain Capital will provide excellent support in expanding the company in Sweden. There will be great business opportunities in supporting small and medium-sized industrial companies with real estate for their operations."
Angeelica Holm, CEO of Företagsparken, added: “We have experienced strong organic growth within our existing portfolio and are now aiming to become a leader within the light industrial segment. With the right expertise and resources, we are well-positioned for success. Together with Bain Capital, we look forward to accelerating our growth journey through M&A opportunities and new acquisitions.”
