The sale, valued at €30 mln, involves a company fully owned by illimity Bank, which is part of the Banca Ifis Group.

This transaction is expected to boost Banca Ifis's CET1 capital by approximately 10 basis points. Concurrently, Arecneprix and illimity Bank have entered into a multi-year servicing agreement to ensure uninterrupted management of the Banca Ifis Group's portfolios after the deal closes, which is anticipated by the end of June 2026.

This divestiture aligns with the Banca Ifis Group's strategy to concentrate on its core business areas, fostering future growth for both its non-core assets and their personnel. For Prelios, the acquisition strengthens its position as a leading alternative asset management firm, leveraging Arecneprix's complementary expertise to support its own growth trajectory.

Arecneprix manages €6.4 bn in assets, reporting revenues of €29.5 mln in 2025. The company operates mainly in two segments: Credit Management and Asset Management.

In addition to the sale agreement, Arecneprix and illimity Bank have also signed terms for a multi-year servicing agreement and a pact for transitional post-closing services, both of which will become active upon the transaction's completion.

Raffaele Zingone, CEO of illimity Bank and Co-General Manager of Banca Ifis, stated: "The sale of Arecneprix to Prelios represents an important step in the process of leveraging illimity Bank's non-core assets and allows us to strengthen the foundations for its full integration into the Banca Ifis Group. The servicing agreement with Prelios places us alongside one of the leading players in the sector and allows us to focus even more closely on our core business segments."

Riccardo Serrini, CEO of Prelios, added: "The acquisition of Arecneprix strengthens Prelios's position in credit servicing and asset management, integrating a platform with €6.4 bn in AUM and distinctive expertise in NPE portfolio management and real estate."

Banca Ifis was assisted by CC&Soci and BonelliErede.
