The financing will contribute to the expansion of Boxengo’s portfolio, supporting both acquisition and capex initiatives aimed at developing a network of high-quality, purpose-built self-storage assets in key urban locations, including Milan, Rome and nearby areas.
The financing was facilitated through a credit fund managed by Finanziaria Internazionale Investments SGR, with units subscribed by Bayview-affiliated funds. The recipient of the financing is an Italian real estate investment fund managed by Savills Investment Management SGR, whose units are subscribed by H.I.G. Capital-affiliated funds.
Salvatore Delle Cave, head of Real Estate Portfolio Management at Bayview Italia, stated: "We are very pleased to have contributed to the growth of the Boxengo platform through this financing. The self-storage sector represents a compelling and scalable investment opportunity in Italy."
A&O Shearman provided legal counsel to Bayview Asset Management, while Baker McKenzie advised H.I.G.
