German real estate group Branicks Group has agreed to sell its institutional business to its fully-owned subsidiary, VIB Vermögen, in a €360 mln deal.

Sonja Wärntges, CEO and CFO of Branicks Group
This move, according to Branicks, will simplify its operations while maintaining its existing relationships with institutional investors. The organizational change will not impact Branicks Group's commercial portfolio.
VIB Vermögen will gain expanded capabilities in fund management, structuring, club deals, and individual mandates for institutional investors.
The deal is subject to standard closing conditions, and upon completion, all outstanding debts from VIB's loans to Branicks, totaling around €300 mln, will be settled.
Sonja Wärntges, CEO and CFO of Branicks Group, commented: “By transferring our Institutional Business to VIB, we are bundling this business in one place within the Group. Everything will remain the same for our customers. The simplification of our structures makes us more effective and is a further step forward.”
Dirk Oehme, spokesperson of the Managing Board of VIB Vermögen, added: “We are making step-by-step progress with the further development of our business strategy. The acquisition of Branicks Group’s Institutional Business with its earnings is a further milestone in this process.”
Branicks Group is a prominent German specialist in office, logistics, and renewable energy real estate, managing properties valued at €11.2 bn as of March 31, 2025.
