Brunswick launches new rental housing company for Stockholm

Nordic real estate company Brunswick Real Estate is introducing Lynea, a new company focused on owning and managing newly constructed rental homes in the Greater Stockholm area.

This initiative aims to address a significant shortage of single-family homes, as many urban Swedes desire this type of housing.
Lynea's properties, which are two-story homes with three to four bedrooms and modern amenities, are being developed in garden-style communities around Stockholm. These locations are chosen for their excellent transport links and proximity to essential services like schools, shops, and recreational areas. All homes will meet Svanen environmental certification standards.
The first two projects, totaling 100 homes in Sigtuna and Upplands-Bro, are being developed by Blooc (part of the Derome Group), known for its design, community, and environmental focus. Derome, a family-owned Swedish company, manages the entire construction process from forestry to finished homes, emphasizing sustainability and quality.
Beyond these initial 100 homes, Lynea and Blooc plan to build an additional 120 homes, with completions phased between 2026 and 2027. Backed by Brunswick and its capital partner, Blackstone-managed real estate funds, Lynea intends to expand its portfolio further, establishing a long-term presence in Sweden's rental housing market.
