The deal follows the recent purchase of Hotel Crowne Plaza Copenhagen, further strengthening the joint venture’s presence in the Copenhagen hotel market.

Acquired from Jeudan, Hotel Scandic Webers is a 3-4‑star hotel comprising approximately 7,400 sq m and 152 rooms, located in central Copenhagen close to Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens and the Meatpacking District. The asset complements the recently acquired Crowne Plaza through its distinct location and customer segment, broadening the JV’s exposure across the city’s hotel market.

The joint venture plans a comprehensive refurbishment programme in partnership with operator Scandic to enhance the hotel’s position in Copenhagen’s city‑centre market, improve the guest experience and strengthen long‑term competitiveness.

“With Hotel Scandic Webers, we are adding a high‑quality city‑centre hotel that complements our recent acquisition of Hotel Crowne Plaza Copenhagen,” said Mads Diderichsen, investment director at CapMan real estate. “Together, the two properties provide exposure to different parts of Copenhagen’s hotel market while creating attractive opportunities for active asset management and future value creation.”

Mikkel Lieberkind, real estate investment director at AP Pension, said the acquisition is an important step in building a high‑quality hotel portfolio in Copenhagen. “The property’s prime city‑centre location complements our recent investment in Crowne Plaza Copenhagen and further strengthens our exposure to a market supported by strong tourism, business travel and limited new supply.”

Jeudan CEO Per W. Hallgren said the sale reflects the company’s long‑term strategic approach. “We continuously evaluate Jeudan’s properties against our strategic focus and commercial opportunities. In this case, a good solution has been found for both parties, providing a solid foundation for the property’s continued development.”
Advisors to the joint venture included Poul Schmith, Sweco, PwC, Bruun & Hjejle, Accura, EKJ and Colliers. The sale was brokered on behalf of Jeudan by Cushman & Wakefield | RED.

The final closing of the transaction remains subject to EU Commission approval of the merger control process between AP Pension and CapMan.
