Following an extensive search, the board selected Ahlsén for his extensive leadership experience, strong financial understanding, operational expertise, and strategic thinking.
Ahlsén has over a decade of leadership experience from Akelius Residential Property, where he was CEO and led the company's international growth. He holds a master's degree in economics from Stockholm University. He is taking over the CEO position from Joacim Sjöberg.
Ralf Spann, chairman of the Board, said: “Pål Ahlsén will lead Castellum into its next phase with a strong focus on profitability and value creation for all shareholders. The priority for the Board and Pål Ahlsén is to define a new strategy for Castellum. At the same time, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Joacim Sjöberg for his strong contribution as CEO during an important and challenging period for Castellum.”
Pål Ahlsén, the newly named CEO, added: “I am honored by the trust placed in me and look forward to working closely with Castellum’s employees. Together with the Board, we will define a new strategy with a clear focus on increasing Castellum’s profitability.”
