CBRE IM acquires 100‑home sustainable development in Amsterdam

CBRE Investment Management, acting on behalf of NN Group, has acquired a new‑build development of 100 rental homes on Naritaweg in Amsterdam from You’RE Development.

Located on the former Klimhal Amsterdam site and within walking distance of Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, the scheme will deliver a mix of rental housing supported by commercial space designed to enable both living and working in the city. The project comprises 94 mid‑market rental homes averaging around 60 sq m, five private‑sector rental homes of approximately 93 sq m, and one social rental home. The ground floor will host nine small commercial units of around 30 sq m each, alongside a 185 sq m hospitality space.

To facilitate living and working in one place in the city, entrepreneurs who rent business space will have the first opportunity to rent a mid-market rental home in the complex. The scheme targets A+++ energy performance, BREEAM‑NL In‑Use Excellent certification and CRREM alignment, reflecting NN Group’s focus on energy‑efficient, affordable housing.

Rogier Hendriks of You’RE Development added: “In addition to the homes, the quality of the building as a place to live is what matters here. Space for bicycles, a courtyard garden and the possibility of combining living and working make this a project that fits the city.”

The complex will be built by Lithos Bouw & Ontwikkeling, with construction scheduled to begin in October 2026. The development was made possible with financing from the Housing Promotion Fund (Stimuleringsfonds Volkshuisvesting) and Capitalisers.
