CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) has appointed Bert Hesselink as EMEA customer relationship management logistics lead, strengthening the firm’s focus on delivering a best‑in‑class occupier experience across its European logistics platform.

In his new role, Hesselink will work closely with local asset management, leasing and operating teams to deepen relationships with occupiers and help businesses identify real estate solutions that support operational and growth requirements. He will act as a strategic partner to occupiers across CBRE IM’s logistics, retail and office sectors, providing a single point of access to the firm’s broader capabilities.
Hesselink joins from CTP, where he held senior client relationship responsibilities and worked with occupiers across Europe to address increasingly complex supply chain, manufacturing and distribution needs. He brings more than 20 years of international real estate experience and a strong track record of building strategic occupier partnerships.
The appointment underscores CBRE IM’s continued focus on its specialist investor‑operator model, which combines sector expertise, local market presence and global scale. The firm manages more than €17 billion of logistics assets across Europe, comprising 8.4 million sq m of space and serving over 1,700 occupiers, making it one of the region’s largest logistics investment managers.
Laurie Lagarde, head of EMEA logistics operator division at CBRE IM, said the firm’s scale and specialisation are central to its ability to deliver long‑term value. She noted that Hesselink’s experience will help deepen occupier relationships and ensure customer insights continue to inform investment decisions, asset management strategies and customer solutions as the logistics platform grows.
Commenting on his appointment, Hesselink said CBRE IM’s combination of local expertise, market intelligence and customer‑first mindset positions the firm strongly in a market where occupiers increasingly need partners who understand both real estate requirements and broader trends shaping supply chains and business operations.
