CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM), acting on behalf of a fund, has acquired a recently completed residential complex in Ishøj, Greater Copenhagen.

Scipio
The property, finished in January 2026, features 132 apartments spread across four five-story buildings, offering a total of 9,788 m2 of rentable space. The design prioritises architectural quality, practical layouts, and durable materials to ensure long-term value and tenant satisfaction. Each apartment includes spacious private balconies or terraces, ample natural light, and access to modern amenities.
The development has earned DGNB Gold certification for its strong performance in environmental, economic, and sociocultural aspects. Its design incorporates landscaped communal gardens, green sedum roofs, and shared rooftop terraces, all aimed at boosting biodiversity, improving energy efficiency, and fostering community among residents.
Ishøj is strategically located near the coast, just a 20-minute commute from Copenhagen city center. The municipality is anticipated to experience significant growth and transformation, mirroring other well-established Greater Copenhagen submarkets. The area is evolving from a mix of detached homes and former industrial sites into new, well-connected residential communities.
Hilke Nijmeijer, senior portfolio manager at CBRE Investment Management, said: “Continued low housing supply and strong demand for affordable rental homes in Copenhagen and Greater Copenhagen are supporting resilient occupancy and rental growth, making well‑located suburban markets increasingly attractive. Against this backdrop, the asset – which is almost fully leased - is in our view well positioned to deliver stable, inflation‑linked income, supported by favourable demographics, limited new supply and a well‑balanced unit mix tailored to middle‑income households.”
Jenny Bay, head of Transactions and Investment Operations at CBRE Investment Management, added: “This acquisition represents another important step in the continued expansion of our residential platform across the Nordics and further strengthens our presence in Greater Copenhagen. We continue to have high conviction in the long‑term fundamentals of the Danish residential market and see strong demand for sustainable, high‑quality housing that is accessible to middle‑income households in well‑connected urban locations.”
