CBRE strengthens European retail occupier team with key appointment

CBRE has appointed Mark Smith as executive director within its European retail occupier team.

Smith will work alongside Tom Dancer, CBRE’s head of retail occupier for Europe, to support globally recognised brands with pan‑European expansion and portfolio strategies.

Smith joins CBRE from JLL, where he spent more than 16 years in senior leadership roles advising major international retailers on flagship transactions, relocations and cross‑border growth. His experience includes working with brands such as Adidas, PVH and ALO across the UK and key European markets.

Tom Dancer said Smith’s appointment will play a central role in CBRE’s European retail growth ambitions.
