DFI and Evervest expand komvi housing platform in Denmark

DFI and Evervest, in collaboration with Grosvenor Diversified Property Investments, have acquired "Engrækkerne," a residential development in Kokkedal, Denmark.

This acquisition adds 136 high-quality, energy-efficient single-family and terraced rental homes to their Danish single-family rental platform, komvi.

Engrækkerne marks komvi's seventh investment and strengthens its presence in the Greater Copenhagen area. The homes, designed with private gardens and outdoor spaces for families, meet high sustainability standards (DGNB Gold and EPC A). They are located in a well-established area with convenient access to nature, schools, local services, and strong transport links to Copenhagen.

This acquisition aligns with komvi's strategy to build a €500 mln platform focused on acquiring sustainable, purpose-built single-family rental homes in desirable Danish locations. Komvi is also developing its own operating and property management system to ensure local management and a strong focus on residents and community.

Paul Nearchou, partner at DFI, said: “Engrækkerne combines high construction quality, with strong local dynamics and plays into the long-term demand trend for professionally managed family housing. Together with Evervest and Grosvenor, we continue to see a large number of opportunities to scale komvi as we work towards building a €500 mln platform.”

William Kanta, CEO of Evervest, commented: “Engrækkerne is fully aligned with komvi’s purpose of creating modern homes that support everyday life in strong local communities. For us, this investment is not only about exposure to a structurally attractive residential segment. Long-term value is created when high-quality homes in the right locations are managed well over time, with a strong focus on residents, operations and the local community.”

Jan Severin Sølbæk, CEO and founder of ArthaScope Capital, added: “We are pleased to hand over the residential scheme and deliver the keys to DFI and Evervest, whom we are confident are the right owners to operate the project in its next phase as a stable residential asset with a focus on long-term operations. For us, this has been a case with some delays and challenges along the way, but with this sale it is our belief that we have arrived at the best possible solution.”

DFI and Evervest are actively engaged in sourcing new opportunities throughout Denmark, targeting both standing assets and development projects.

DLA Piper Gorrissen Federspiel, Kromann Reumert, Rambøl, Deloitte and Cushman & Wakefield | RED advised on the deal.
