Edge launches German real estate platform

European real estate company Edge has launched an integrated real estate platform in Germany, encompassing development, investment, and asset management services.

As part of a strategic shift to expand beyond its core real estate development activities, Edge is bringing its successful investment and asset management model from the Netherlands to the German market.
This expansion includes taking over the management of a portfolio comprising seven retail and office properties for five German pension funds. Six of these assets are located in Germany, with one in the Netherlands.
Additionally, Edge has secured a second mandate from another German institutional client. This mandate involves an office project development and the asset management of an existing portfolio of residential and office properties, all situated in Berlin.
In total, Edge has secured €456 mln in asset management mandates.

Earlier this year, Edge strengthened its German operations with the appointment of Jan Salzmann and Joachim Wintzer to its leadership team.
