The strategy will target light industrial assets offering a yield premium over big‑box logistics, supported by structurally constrained supply, strong occupier demand and significant reversion potential. Alpha generation will be driven by active asset management delivered by local teams across key European markets.

The firm has more than 25 years of industrial and logistics expertise, supported by a pan‑European platform comprising 790 assets and over 150 professionals across seven offices in five countries.

Niek van Genugten, who joins as fund manager, brings nearly 15 years of pan‑European real estate experience and more than €2 billion of transaction volume in logistics and light industrial assets. He previously served as senior transaction manager at Frasers property industrial, where he co‑led the European acquisitions team and was responsible for business development and capital raising.

Based in Amsterdam, van Genugten will oversee the new strategy and contribute to the development of additional industrial & logistics initiatives aligned with market opportunities and investor demand. He will work closely with the firm’s investment, asset management, fund management and investor relations teams, reporting to Theo Soeters, head of fund management.

Soeters said the appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the platform. “Niek’s extensive experience in the European industrial and logistics market, combined with his value‑add expertise, will be a major asset as we continue to expand our capabilities and deliver value creation for investors.”

Klaus Georg Schmitz, chief investment officer, added that the new strategy reflects the firm’s conviction in hands‑on asset management. “This is a natural evolution of our successful core‑plus approach. Active management across strong European markets remains the most effective way to unlock value in light industrial and logistics real estate. Niek’s expertise will be instrumental in delivering on this ambition.”
