EGLS expands into Spain, taps strong market demand

EGLS, a leading pan-European developer, investor, and asset manager specializing in sustainable logistics real estate, has announced at Expo Real its expansion into Spain.

This move significantly extends its reach into Southern Europe, complementing its existing operations across the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland.
The new Spanish operation will be spearheaded by logistics veteran Thierry Bougeard, who brings 35 years of industrial real estate experience, most recently as head of Iberia Industrial and Logistics at Trammell Crow Company. He will be supported by Jean-Bernard Gaudin, head of Investment and Occupier Search, a specialist with over 25 years of experience, previously serving as director of Logistics and Industrial at BNP Paribas Real Estate in Spain.
With new offices established in Madrid and Barcelona, EGLS aims to capitalize on Spain's highly attractive logistics market. The country is characterized by robust occupier demand, increasing investment, and a scarcity of modern, sustainable logistics facilities, especially in its two major cities. EGLS's strategy involves both upgrading existing logistics assets to top sustainability standards and developing new, energy-efficient facilities to meet this growing demand.
