Eurazeo, through its Ezore fund, has acquired a majority stake in Babylon, an integrated aparthotel operating platform with operations in Paris and the Greater Paris area.

This is the Ezore fund's second investment, following the acquisition of Aquardens in Italy. Babylon's founders will retain their shares in the company.
Eurazeo’s Real Estate team plans to actively support Babylon's expansion, with the goal of tripling its portfolio size by 2030. Eurazeo will assist Babylon in acquiring new assets, including underperforming hotels and vacant office buildings to be redeveloped, ranging from 500 to 4,000 m2. This growth will also involve securing management contracts for targeted third-party-owned properties. Additionally, Eurazeo will further strengthen Babylon's organizational structure and teams.
Founded in early 2025 by CEO Martin Stalla-Bourdillon, along with Thomas Zaepffel and Geoffroy Mestrallet (co-founders of Kerria AM), Babylon has established itself in a growing segment of the Parisian hospitality market, despite a highly restricted and regulated environment.
Babylon’s properties offer the comfort of an apartment combined with the quality of a hotel. The company provides guests with accommodations in prime central locations, featuring refined design and a high degree of autonomy to enhance their experience. Babylon is also committed to repurposing existing buildings to create sustainable living spaces that meet top energy standards.
Currently, Babylon operates or is developing approximately 5,400 m2 (around 400 beds), with an additional exclusive pipeline of nearly 5,000 m2 (approximately 400 beds).
Riccardo Abello and Pierre Larivière, co-heads of Real Estate, declared: “We are delighted to partner with Babylon and its founding team. The company has established a compelling position in the aparthotel segment, underpinned by strong growth ambitions and alignment with evolving structural trends.”
Martin Stalla-Bourdillon, CEO of Babylon, Thomas Zaepffel and Geoffroy Mestrallet added: “We view Eurazeo’s investment in Babylon as a major milestone. This partnership validates both our vision and our positioning in a rapidly evolving market. The backing of a leading institutional partner will enable us to accelerate our growth while remaining true to our DNA, grounded in asset quality, operational excellence and customer experience.”
