Irish-owned institutional real estate investor and operator Fine Grain Property has appointed Darragh Lennon as its new CEO.

Darragh Lennon
He brings extensive institutional knowledge and operational experience, having been instrumental in developing the business into a leading Irish real estate investment platform.
Darragh Lennon, a founding shareholder in 2007, returned to Fine Grain Property in 2024 to take direct operational leadership. His responsibilities have included overseeing asset strategy, investor reporting, acquisitions and sales, financing, and the daily management of the expanding portfolio of sustainable workplace communities.
Colin MacDonald, who founded the company and served as CEO for two decades, will transition to executive chairman. In this new role, MacDonald will leverage his strengths in investment, strategy, and capital partnerships, focusing on building relationships across Ireland and internationally. He will focus on capital formation, strategic partnerships, and identifying new opportunities—whether new vehicles, markets, or platforms—to define Fine Grain Property's next chapter.
Ron Bolger, who has guided Fine Grain Property through numerous property cycles over 20 years, will become chairman emeritus.
The company currently manages approximately 110,550 m2 of commercial real estate across 17 properties, supporting over 70 multinational occupiers and more than 6,000 employees.
Approaching its 20th anniversary, Fine Grain Property has completed 28 property investments, deployed over €500 mln of capital, and maintained a lease renewal rate exceeding 99% across its portfolio.
Darragh Lennon, CEO of Fine Grain Property, commented: “This is a business built on long-term thinking, strong relationships, and disciplined execution, and that does not change. What does change is our ambition. We have a clear plan to grow significantly over the next three years, a talented team to deliver it, and the right structure to execute. As CEO, I am excited to lead the business forward into this next phase. We are just getting started.”
Colin MacDonald, executive chairman of Fine Grain Property, commented: “Since returning to Fine Grain as COO two years ago, Darragh has taken an already strong platform and made it sharper, more institutional, and ready to scale. That gives me the confidence to focus on what I enjoy most, and where I believe I can add the most value: developing the investment strategies, building the relationships, and identifying the opportunities that will take Fine Grain Property somewhere it has not been before.”
