Fox Living, the student housing subsidiary of Fox real estate, has expanded its PBSA platform with the acquisition of a development site in Hanover’s emerging Weichenviertel district.

Mathias Grüning, Managing Director Fox Living GmbH
Purchased from the Lindhorst group, the plot located at Fuhsestraße on the corner of Einbecker Straße will be developed into around 320 apartments for students, trainees and young professionals, with a gross floor area of approximately 11,000 sq m. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q2 2027, with completion targeted for Q3 2028.
The scheme will deliver compact, high‑quality apartments designed for modern urban living, forming part of Fox Living's strategy to build a scalable PBSA portfolio across major German university cities. Managing Director Mathias Grüning said Hanover represents an attractive addition to the platform, citing the city’s position as one of Germany’s largest university hubs, its strong economic fundamentals and sustained demand for contemporary student accommodation. He added that Fox Living sees long‑term structural demand for PBSA in Germany and is targeting the development of up to 1,000 apartments per year.
Fox Living received legal advice on the transaction from Walch, Rittberg und Nagel.
