Generali acquires office building in Munich

Generali Deutschland is consolidating its Munich and Augsburg offices into a new Group headquarters in Munich's Werksviertel district by acquiring the Momenturm project from Art-Invest Real Estate.

Generali Real Estate handled the transaction and will further develop the Momenturm into a modern, energy-efficient, and climate-friendly office space. The insurer plans to relocate approximately 1,500 employees to the new headquarters by the end of 2028.
Art-Invest Real Estate acquired the existing building at Rosenheimer Straße 139 in 2019. The Momenturm project will expand the office space from 11,000 m² to approximately 28,000 m². Generali Deutschland will occupy a portion of the building, while additional high-quality office space will be available for lease to other tenants. 
The 60-meter-high Momenturm, designed by OSA Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten, will offer panoramic views of the Alps and Munich's city center from the fifth floor upwards.

The purchase price was not disclosed. Art-Invest Real Estate received legal counsel from GSK Stockmann, while Generali Deutschland was advised by the law firm Poellath.
