Genova partners with Swedbank for green financing

Real estate company Genova Property Group has partnered with Swedbank on a SEK 2.8 bn (€243.5 mln) sustainability-linked financing agreement.

This deal integrates environmental goals into both existing and new loans, reinforcing Genova's commitment to sustainability.
The financing's terms are tied to the company's performance in three key areas: reducing energy consumption across its property portfolio, mitigating the climate impact of new developments, and proactively addressing climate-related risks. Should Genova achieve these sustainability targets, the interest rate on its loans will be reduced.
Roughly SEK 2.4 bn (€208.7 mln) of the total amount covers existing loan agreements. With this new arrangement, Genova's sustainability-linked and green financing now represents about 80% of its total outstanding debt.

As of 30 September 2025, Genova owned properties worth approximately SEK 9.8 bn (€852.2 mln) and a significant building rights portfolio.
