Logistics owner and developer GLP Europe has purchased a 70,000 m² plot in Gropello Cairoli, near Milan, where it plans to build a 37,000 m² logistics centre.

Gropello 1
Construction of G-Park Gropello is slated to begin in April 2025 and finish by the end of January 2026, thanks to already secured building permits.
Strategically situated along the A7 motorway for easy access to northwest Italy and Genoa, 20,000 m² of the facility has already been leased. The remaining 17,000 m² is available.
G-Park Gropello is designed for sustainability and is expected to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification with features like solar panels, EV charging stations, a building management system for energy monitoring, insulated structures, skylights, rainwater harvesting, and recycled/recyclable materials.
Marco Belli, managing director, GLP Italy, said: “The acquisition of this land and the construction of our new logistics facility further strengthens our growing presence in southern Milan, an area in which there is strong demand for quality industrial space. G-Park Gropello’s position near the A7 motorway offers an alternative route to traditional logistics corridors and has already attracted interest from major third-party logistics providers. We are also delighted to have secured our first customer in the building before construction starts.”
