The property was purchased from Jersey-based investment firm Valeo Groupe Europe, though the transaction price was not revealed.

This acquisition marks Greystar's third significant investment in Ireland's PBSA market. It follows the acquisition of Point Campus in Dublin in 2024 and the 724-bed Project Galaxy portfolio in Dublin and Galway in 2025. With these four properties, Greystar now manages a nationwide portfolio of 1,906 student beds, making it one of the largest PBSA operators in Ireland.

The deal was executed through Greystar Equity Partners Europe II (GEPE II), the company's recently closed pan-European value-add residential fund. GEPE II secured over €2.7 bn in commitments, providing more than €6.8 bn in investment capacity for acquisitions and developments in key European residential markets, including Ireland.

Since its opening in 2018, the Church Street property has consistently maintained high occupancy rates. It will now operate under Canvas, Greystar's pan-European student accommodation brand, joining a portfolio that spans seven European countries. The property offers various amenities such as a cinema, gym, study room, café, games room, outdoor space, and a BBQ area.

Located less than ten minutes from Dublin city centre, the Church Street property is within walking distance of Trinity College Dublin and TU Dublin's Bolton Street and Grangegorman campuses.

Claire Solon, managing director – Ireland, Greystar, said: "As Ireland's population and student numbers continue to grow, there is a clear need for more places for people to live and study. We see significant opportunities across both student accommodation and multifamily housing and, with substantial capital available for investment, remain committed to growing our presence in Ireland and providing the homes and accommodation people need."

David Saunders, managing director at Valeo Management Europe, commented: “The property has consistently performed strongly since opening, and this transaction represents an excellent outcome for Valeo and our investors. We are confident that Greystar is well placed to build on the asset’s success and continue delivering a high-quality living experience for students in Dublin.”
