Jacek Bagiński, an experienced C-suite executive with a strong financial background across various industries, joins alongside Mihály Ország and Botond Rencz, both of whom bring extensive experience from leading international banks and advisory firms.
These additions will focus on finance, business sustainability, and corporate finance, bolstering the leadership team under Małgorzata Czaplicka and supporting GTC's strategic goals of building a sustainable portfolio, optimizing operations, strengthening relationships, and pursuing new growth avenues.
Jacek Bagiński brings nearly three decades of experience in Central and Eastern European businesses to GTC, most recently serving as CFO and a Management Board member at EPP, Poland's largest shopping centre owner. His extensive background also includes CFO roles at Empik Media & Fashion and board positions at other publicly listed companies. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at PepsiCo and BP/Amoco. Bagiński's expertise spans business development, M&A, financing, taxation, and financial management. He will assume the role of CFO and Management Board member at GTC S.A. on September 8, with Balázs Gosztonyi remaining temporarily to ensure a seamless transition.
Botond Rencz joins GTC as chief sustainability officer, effective August 11,  after a distinguished 30-year career with Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. He served as CEO of EY Hungary and regional leader, overseeing operations across several Central and Eastern European countries, leading EY to become a market leader in Hungary, particularly in tax. Rencz also headed EY's Central European tax practice and chaired the AmCham Tax Committee. More recently, in 2024, he served as CEO of Eu-Solar, a green energy company.
Mihály Ország will become GTC's chief corporate finance officer, effective September 2, following a 28-year career at K&H Bank, a major Hungarian bank within the KBC Group. His most recent role was head of Specialized Financial Services & Financial Markets Directorate, where he oversaw financing for commercial real estate, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects, as well as financial market activities and collaboration with institutions and municipalities. Ország's early career included roles at Arthur Andersen and ABN AMRO.
Alongside the new Management Board appointments, GTC's Supervisory Board announced the departures of Zsolt Farkas, effective immediately upon resolution adoption, and Balázs Gosztonyi, effective September 8th of this year.
