Hallam Land sells UK residential plots to Vistry

Henry Boot's land promotion division, Hallam Land, has sold 366 residential plots in Swindon to UK homebuilder Vistry at the end of 2025.

This sale pushed Hallam Land over its 2025 sales target, reaching a record 3,957 plot sales for the year due to high demand for its pre-approved sites.
The Swindon site is part of a larger 320-acre development in South Marston, where Hallam Land and Taylor Wimpey initially secured an option to purchase. Outline planning consent was granted in August 2021 for 2,380 homes, with 1,064 of those on Hallam Land's portion.
Hallam Land officially acquired its section of the site in January 2024 and simultaneously agreed to sell 760 plots to Vistry. The first 393 plots were sold in January 2024, followed by the remaining 367 in December 2025. Hallam Land still holds 304 plots for future sale.
Beyond housing, including over 500 affordable homes, the development will offer retail, leisure, business spaces, a new primary school, an extension to an existing school, community and sports facilities, extensive woodland, green infrastructure, and children's play areas.
Tim Roberts, CEO at Henry Boot, commented: "With this transaction, Hallam Land has exceeded its annual sales target in 2025, supported by continued interest from housebuilders for well-located land with planning consent.”
