Harrison Street Asset Management has completed the sale of Stoneybatter Place, a purpose‑built student housing community in Dublin, to Commerz Real, one of Europe’s largest and most established asset managers.

Elkstone, Stoneybatter Place
The transaction marks another exit for Harrison Street’s European student housing strategy, which has now invested €2.8 billion across 62 properties.
Completed in 2023, Stoneybatter Place comprises 142 beds in fully furnished apartments and offers amenities including study and lounge areas, a gym and rooftop terraces. The scheme is located west of Dublin city centre within walking distance of Technological University Dublin and benefits from strong public transport links to other universities and the wider city.
Paul Bashir, Co‑Head – Europe at Harrison Street Asset Management, said the asset reflects the firm’s long‑standing strategy of investing in purpose‑built student accommodation in markets characterised by high demand and constrained supply. He noted that rising institutional appetite for high‑quality student housing has created opportunities to return liquidity to stakeholders while redeploying capital into new investments.
Savills advised Harrison Street on the sale.
