Operating across 12 European nations via seven regional hubs, the group created this role to enhance its transaction, investment, and asset management capabilities ahead of its next major growth phase.

Bakker will spearhead the unified Investment, Transaction, and Asset Management (ITAM) division following a structured transition period, driving the firm's core value-creation strategy and refining its institutional operating model.

A seasoned Dutch real estate veteran with over 25 years of cross-sector international experience, Bakker has previously held senior roles at elite global firms including UBS Global Asset Management, LaSalle Investment Management, Orange Capital Partners, Multi Corporation (Blackstone), and Europa Capital (Mitsubishi Estate).

Most recently, he served as managing director and head of Asset Management at Europa Capital.

Based between Budapest and Vienna, Bakker will spend his initial six months working alongside leadership to deeply integrate into Indotek's fully vertical platform. His long-term mandate will centre on optimising existing portfolio performance, securing strategic joint ventures, and deepening relationships with institutional investors.

Dániel Jellinek, founder, CEO and majority owner of Indotek Group, stated: "In the next phase of our development, the question is no longer only which markets we are present in, but also how consistently, efficiently and competitively we operate. What sets Indotek apart is its ability to see value where others don’t — in overlooked assets, complex situations and markets in transition. Diederik’s role will be to help apply that capability more consistently across the Group while supporting our long-term growth ambitions and strengthening operational excellence.”

Diederik Bakker added: "Indotek Group is a distinctive market player: from a Central European background, with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong in-house capabilities and a flexible decision-making culture, it has built a significant European presence within a decade. Few companies combine this depth of local market knowledge with the ability to act quickly across markets, and this is exactly what makes the role attractive to me. My role will be to build on this strong foundation by supporting sound investment decisions across Europe and developing a group-level portfolio management strategy that combines local market knowledge with international asset management know-how."
