James White to head DekaBank London branch

DekaBank has named James White as the new head of its London branch, succeeding Chris Bennett, who is leaving for a new opportunity in the property sector.

White has been with DekaBank since its UK launch in 2008 and has played a crucial role in making the bank a prominent provider of senior debt financing in the commercial real estate sector. 
With over 20 years of banking experience, he brings a diverse skill set from corporate lending and syndication to restructuring and, most recently, leading DekaBank's Origination for the UK & Ireland.

Over the past year, DekaBank has provided over €500 mln across six deals. Key transactions include a £70 mln (€81 mln) loan for ICG secured against a regional supermarket portfolio, a €123 mln loan for Mark Group secured against 60 Dawson Street in Dublin, a £65 mln (€75 mln) loan for Ashby Capital secured against The Kensington Building, and an £80 mln (€92.7 mln) loan for CBRE Investment Management secured against Howick Place.
