The transaction, based on an underlying property value of SEK 803 mln (€69.4 mln), will be financed through bank borrowing and is set to finalise on 1 June 2026.

The acquisition includes four properties in the Senapsfabriken area of Industristaden, Uppsala, totalling approximately 13,862 m2 of rentable space, primarily residential rental apartments completed in 2021. The occupancy rate is 99%, and the full occupancy rental income for 2026 is SEK 41.6 mln (€3.6 mln).

This move aligns with John Mattson's long-term strategy of owning, managing, and developing properties.

Per Nilsson, CEO of John Mattson, commented: “Through this acquisition, we establish a presence in Uppsala – a market characterised by strong population growth and attractive risk-adjusted returns. The transaction represents a unique opportunity to acquire properties in one of Uppsala’s most attractive locations, with immediate proximity to the city centre and the central railway station.”

Wigge & Partners advised John Mattson on the transaction.
