KGAL appoints Martin Schmuck as new CFO

Real estate investor and asset manager KGAL has appointed Martin Schmuck as its new CFO.

He will gradually take over the responsibilities from the current CFO, Thomas Schröer, who is set to retire at the end of 2026.
Schmuck joined KGAL on December 1st and will officially become CFO at the start of the new year. His role will encompass all financial aspects of the KGAL Group, including controlling, finance, fund accounting, and taxes, as well as audit, compliance, and corporate services. Schröer will remain involved until his retirement, overseeing risk and fund controlling within KGAL Investment Management to ensure a smooth transition.
With a CFA Charter and extensive experience in finance and corporate management, Schmuck brings valuable expertise. Before KGAL, he spent over five years as managing director of Finance at Interhyp Group, where he was instrumental in developing financial strategies and processes. He also previously served as head of Controlling at Krones and worked at Oliver Wyman strategy consultancy.
