Lot 10 will feature 10 buildings with a total reference building area of 10,416.93 m², representing the final residential phase of the Belval site and an estimated sales volume of nearly €50 mln.
Agora, a Luxembourgish development company co-owned by ArcelorMittal and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is responsible for transforming former steel industrial sites into sustainable urban areas.
LCB has been actively expanding its presence in Luxembourg, with its recent participation in the Eco'City project in Villerupt-Cantebonne, near the Luxembourg border.
Construction is slated to begin in late 2026/early 2027, with LCB working closely with Agora and the municipality of Sanem. This initial agreement may pave the way for future collaborations between LCB and AGORA.
Belval Sud marks the concluding phase of the extensive Belval redevelopment. Positioned near Um Belval Park and various educational facilities, the new neighbourhood aims to provide a family-oriented living environment within a dense urban setting. The project addresses the strong demand for quality housing in southern Luxembourg, offering diverse housing types to prevent urban sprawl and enhance living standards.
Jorge Teixeira, head of Development and Marketing at Agora, said: “Agora selected LCB for its expertise as an eco-developer and its ability to meet the technical and scheduling requirements of an ambitious project. The successful experience of the Eco'City in Cantebonne has demonstrated the robustness of their model and their environmental commitment. There is strong demand for this type of neighbourhood, and we are convinced that Belval Sud will be an immediate success.”
François Duchaine, president of LCB, added: “This agreement marks a decisive step in our development in Luxembourg. The quality of the dialogue, the complementary expertise, and the mutual support between all parties have allowed us to accelerate each phase of preparation. We hope that this project will be the first of many."
