Lion's Head Investments, a division of AG Capital, has commenced construction on its first logistics park in Romania, named Lion’s Head Logistics Park.

Lion's Head Logistics Park
This project, located in Popești-Leordeni, Bucharest, represents an investment of €65 mln and will cover 85,000 m2.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is backing this development, having invested €150 mln to support Lion’s Head’s sustainable projects across Romania and Bulgaria. This move expands Lion’s Head’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe and is a key step in creating a unified regional logistics platform, building on its existing investments in Bulgaria.
Strategically situated in Popești-Leordeni, Ilfov County, between Bucharest's old ring road and the new A0 motorway, the park will occupy a 15.6-hectare site.
Lion’s Head Logistics Park will provide flexible units ranging from 1,500 to 40,000 m2. It will feature three advanced warehouse buildings designed to meet international technical, ESG, and operational cost standards. All buildings are planned for EDGE Advanced certification.
Alina Necula, country manager Romania, Lion’s Head, said: “The Lion’s Head brings both expertise and a deep insight into the way modern businesses operate, and this project stands as proof that we can build to the same high standards as any developed market.”
Vladimir Gurdjieff, group director Logistics & Industrial Assets, Lion’s Head, added: “Romania plays a key role in our regional expansion. It is a market of significant size, with excellent positioning between Western and Southeastern Europe, and with genuine potential to become a major logistics hub.”
This new logistics park is the first project in Romania fully developed according to the sustainability standards set by the IFC. Uniquely in the region, Lion's Head is implementing a comprehensive Construction Environmental and Social Management Plan (C-ESMP). This plan ensures environmental protection, safeguards employees and the local community, and promotes responsible resource and waste management throughout the entire construction process.
Lion’s Head Logistics Park will provide its future occupants with a full suite of amenities, including green spaces, recreation areas, dedicated pedestrian and vehicle access, ample parking, and electric vehicle charging stations. The development incorporates advanced technologies, sustainable materials, and smart solutions designed to optimise energy consumption and minimise operating expenses.
