Lloyds Bank is reinforcing its real estate division by appointing Joe Mellings as the new head of Real Estate Coverage.

He starts immediately, splitting his time between London and Birmingham, and will report to Jess Tomlinson, managing director, global head of Real Estate and Housing.
This appointment signifies Lloyds' commitment to increasing its support for the real estate sector and fostering stronger client relationships. Mellings will be in charge of a Coverage team of Relationship Directors across the UK, supported by associates and associate directors. Their main goals will be to provide customized financing options, expand client portfolios, and help advance a more sustainable built environment.
He brings over 15 years of corporate banking experience, having previously held senior positions at Barclays in real estate, mid-market, leveraged finance, and large-cap corporate sectors in both the UK and Ireland.
He will join the Real Estate leadership team, working alongside Klaus Betz Vais (head of Structuring), Sam Shah (head of Development), David Clearly (head of Housing), Richard Heath (managing director Coverage), and James Silsby (head of Portfolio Management).
