Logicor completes sustainable logistics hub in Tuscany

Logicor has finished building a 23,000 m2 eco-friendly logistics centre in Quarrata, Tuscany.

This new hub, featuring a 22,000 m2 warehouse split into two units of 11,500 m2 plus 1,000 m2 of office space, is strategically located near major motorways A1 and A11, about 20 km from Florence. 
It is developed on a 34,000 m2 plot acquired via the Mazer fund, managed by Kraylos SGR, and owned by Logicor.
The facility is BREEAM Very Good certified, incorporating sustainable elements like a 2 MWh solar power system, LED lights, EV charging, rainwater collection, and green spaces, all aimed at boosting energy efficiency and lessening environmental impact.
Graeme Hepburn, Logicor country manager Italy, said: “Tuscany is an increasingly strategic location for logistics in Italy due to its strong industrial footprint. We have invested in this region with a long-term view and are excited to see the evolution of projects that will provide a solid foundation for our expansion in Italy in 2025 and beyond.” 
The Quarrata project was completed with help from TechBau, Jones Day, Blossom Avenue Partners, and EY.
Additionally, Logicor is expanding in central Italy, with several projects underway in Rome. In Pomezia, a key logistics area south of Rome and near Fiumicino Airport, the company is developing over 90,000 m2 of logistics space.
