Maggie Taplett to Lead European CPM for Barings Real Estate

Barings Real Estate has announced that Maggie Taplett, senior director in Real Estate Client Portfolio Management (CPM), will relocate from New York to London to spearhead the firm’s European real estate CPM operations, effective 1 September 2026.

In this role, she will drive the expansion of Barings' global real estate platform and enhance investor relations throughout Europe.

Taplett is set to collaborate closely with European Real Estate CPM team members Tom Morgan and Jess Cufley. Together, they will implement a unified global coverage model designed to standardise client engagement across Barings’ premier European real estate strategies.

Taplett brings more than 15 years of industry experience to her new London-based role.

She joined Barings Real Estate in 2024. Previously, she served at Apollo Global Management, focusing on private real estate products within the US and Asian markets.

Taplett has also held specialised investor relations positions at both Grove International Partners and H/2 Capital Partners.
