Mark Spangenberg joins Newmark as COO Germany

Real estate consulting firm Newmark has appointed Mark Spangenberg as COO for Germany, bolstering its German leadership team.

Spangenberg, a well-known expert in the commercial real estate sector, will be responsible for the operational management of Newmark's German operations. He will focus on developing structures and central functions to fuel Newmark's growth. Working alongside country managing director Marcus Lütgering, Spangenberg will play a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction in Germany and will act as the primary point of contact with the US headquarters. 
Previously, Spangenberg spent nine years as COO Germany at CBRE, where he oversaw central corporate functions and significantly influenced the strategic development of the German business. Before that, he was COO of the European business at EVO Payments (now Global Payments) and held several senior positions in payments within the Deutsche Bank Group for over 13 years.
