In her new capacity, Marta Gorońska-Wiercioch will be responsible for leading EGLS' operations in Poland. Her duties will include supervising investment strategy, development activities, and asset management, as well as fostering stronger relationships with tenants, partners, and public sector entities throughout the country.
Having joined EGLS in 2025, Marta has been instrumental in building and expanding the company's footprint in Poland. Her promotion acknowledges both her leadership contributions and the growing strategic significance of the Polish market within EGLS’ broader European portfolio.
Ian Worboys, co-founder and CEO of EGLS, said: “Poland is one of our core markets in Europe, and Marta has been instrumental in building our platform there. She combines deep local market knowledge with a clear understanding of what international occupiers and investors now expect from modern logistics real estate. This promotion reflects both her contribution to date and our confidence in the opportunities ahead”.
Commenting on her appointment, Marta Gorońska-Wiercioch, managing director, Poland, added: “Demand for warehouse space in Poland remained exceptionally strong in 2025, reaching close to 6 million m2 and approaching the record levels seen in 2021 and 2022. This strength is being supported by resilient consumer demand and a stable economic and political backdrop. At the same time, developers are taking a more selective approach, with less speculative delivery and a greater focus on build-to-suit projects, which we expect will continue to tighten vacancy rates through 2026 and 2027.
