This facility will fund the construction of a 609-bed PBSA scheme, which also includes 1,140 m2 of commercial space.
The development, located near Wembley Stadium, will consist of three buildings, with the tallest reaching 27 storeys. Construction has already begun, with HG Construction as the main contractor, and is expected to be finished by summer 2028. The complex will offer extensive amenities for students, such as a concierge, co-working facilities, resident lounges, a gym, a cinema, a podcast studio, a games room, and private dining areas.
This is Maslow Capital's second major financing deal with YourTribe, bringing their total lending to the client to £230.6 mln (€268.2 mln). Previously, Maslow provided £114 mln (€132.6 mln) for two other PBSA projects in Walthamstow and Greenwich.
Overall, Maslow Capital has now supported YourTribe in delivering 1,247 student accommodation units across three London sites.
Sky Mapson, senior director, Origination at Maslow Capital, commented: “Maslow Capital has built a strong reputation as a dependable development finance partner to the student accommodation sector, combining deep PBSA underwriting expertise with certainty of execution. Completing a second transaction with YourTribe reflects the strength of that relationship and our shared focus on delivering high-quality accommodation at scale in London.”
Rachael Gordon, head of Deal Execution (UK & Europe) at Maslow Capital, added: “London’s PBSA market continues to be underpinned by structural demand and a persistent supply gap, particularly for well-located, amenity-rich schemes. As more projects progress through the Building Safety Act gateways, the ability to structure and execute funding with clarity and pace is increasingly important, and we are pleased to support a scheme that is now underway and targeting delivery in summer 2028.”
James Rogers, investment director at YourTribe, commented: “At YourTribe, we design and operate our buildings around the student experience, creating environments that actively support academic success, wellbeing and community. Securing development funding from Maslow Capital once again is a strong endorsement of both our platform and the Watkin Road scheme. Their continued backing provides real momentum as we move into construction and deliver a best-in-class living experience for students in Wembley.”
