Residential developer McLaren Living and residential investor Heim Global Investor are collaborating on Oasis, a new £130 mln (€151 mln) Build-to-Rent project in Birmingham, featuring 456 homes.

Oasis, Birmingham - Heim Global Investor
This marks their second partnership, following the Water Lane development in Leeds.
Located on Kent Street, an area experiencing significant revitalisation, Oasis will be forward-funded by Heim, with McLaren Living as the developer and Winvic as the contractor. The 11-story building will offer one and two-bedroom apartments, along with amenities such as a gym, residents' lounge, co-working space, a landscaped courtyard, and terraces.
The project aims to meet Heim's high sustainability standards, building on their UK Residential Fund's 5-star GRESB rating.
Oasis is centrally located, close to Birmingham's cultural and social hubs, in an increasingly popular residential part of the city.
The project is in mid-construction and due for completion in 2027.
Matthew Biddle, managing director, McLaren Living, said: “Following our successful collaboration with Heim on Water Lane in Leeds, we are delighted to build on our trusted partnership and add to our strong pipeline of projects across the UK’s best locations and cities. Oasis, with its city centre location, local amenities and good connections, is a great addition to our portfolio. We are looking forward to continuing to grow our partnership with Heim and collaborate on developments where we have a shared vision.”
David Peacock, director at Heim Global Investor, added: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with McLaren Living, alongside Winvic Construction, to deploy more capital for our UK build-to-core fund. This development fits perfectly with our strategy of developing mid-market rental homes across the UK’s key cities with experienced partners. We continue to be very active in the market and have a strong pipeline of opportunities as we continue to grow our presence in the UK.”
