MetLife Investment Management (MIM) has appointed Andrea Drasites as its new global head of Real Estate and Agricultural Finance, effective 1 October 2026.

She will report to Brian Funk, president of MIM.
In this role, Drasites will oversee MIM's commercial mortgage, equity real estate, and agricultural investment portfolios, which collectively managed $108.9 bn (€99.9 bn) in assets as of 31 December 2025.
Drasites brings extensive experience from Blackstone, where she was a senior managing director in the Real Estate Group.
Before Blackstone, Drasites held senior roles at Equity One, Inc. and Woolbright Development.
She succeeds Robert Merck, who retired in 2025.
Brian Funk said: “We are excited to bring on board Andrea’s significant expertise in real estate and extensive leadership experience,” said Funk. “She is well-positioned to lead our real estate team as we continue to accelerate growth and further scale our global capabilities for clients following the acquisition of PineBridge Investments.”
Drasites added: “I’m thrilled to be joining MIM at such a pivotal moment and look forward to working with the team to build on the platform’s success and leverage the firm’s scale to drive even more opportunities for clients worldwide.”
