International real estate consultancy Newmark has appointed seasoned industry veterans André Berger and Tobias Köhler as co-heads of Living Capital Markets Germany.

Both will serve as senior managing directors, join Newmark Germany's leadership team (including the new German Living Board), and report to country head Marcus Lütgering.
Berger and Köhler bring a combined 35+ years of experience and approximately €7 bn in transaction volume to the role, making them leading experts in the German residential investment market. They will be responsible for the strategic development of Newmark's residential investment platform, supporting national and international transactions, and managing the PBSA, Healthcare, and multifamily housing business segments.
Köhler, with over 20 years of experience and a €4 bn transaction track record, will leverage his leadership experience, market knowledge, and network from his base in Munich. Berger, with 15+ years of experience and a €3 bn transaction volume across various property sectors, will contribute his investment expertise and leadership skills from the Hamburg office. Both Berger and Köhler join Newmark from JLL.
