Nextensa and Promobe divest Luxembourg hotel

Nextensa and Promobe have announced the sale of their shares in Sparkling 1, the owning company of the B&B Hotels in Luxembourg's Cloche d’Or district, for €37.4 mln.

The buyer is Aberdeen Investments, representing Irish Life Investment Managers.

The B&B Hotels, which opened in September 2022, was the first location for the French hotel brand in Luxembourg. The development and delivery of the building in July 2022 was a collaborative effort between Promobe, Nextensa, and project developer Grossfeld.

This Three-Star Superior hotel features 150 rooms for both business and leisure travellers. It boasts a prime location within the Cloche d’Or district, an area that offers a blend of retail, office spaces, medical facilities, and green areas. The hotel benefits from its mixed-use surroundings, which include offices of international companies, local shops, a shopping centre, a medical centre, and the city's largest park. Its accessibility is further enhanced by its proximity to the tram, public transport, and major roadways. The Cloche d'Or district itself holds DGNB Platinum certification, a testament to its commitment to sustainable mobility and urban quality.

Designed by architect Moreno, the hotel building features seven floors above ground and a basement with parking and technical facilities. The entrance on Rue Gerhard Mercator leads to a reception area, a bar/lounge, a breakfast room, a meeting room, and a spacious private terrace.
