Nido and Livensa integrate with new unified brand

Livensa Group, backed by CPP Investments, has unveiled its new brand, formally bringing together Nido Living and Livensa Living under a single identity following the successful integration of their operations, teams and portfolios over the past year. The Nido name will no longer be used by the company.

Under the new brand structure, purpose‑built student accommodation (PBSA) assets will operate as Livensa Living, while flexible accommodation assets offering shorter stays and greater lease optionality will be branded Livensa Studios.

The completed integration, supported by the move to new headquarters in Madrid, strengthens Livensa Group’s ability to respond to accelerating PBSA demand across Europe. The platform, which currently operates 12,415 beds across Spain, Portugal and Italy, plans to expand further in these core markets while growing into Germany and other key European countries. As a vertically integrated investor, developer and operator, Livensa Group will scale with a larger balance sheet, deeper operating capabilities and a broader development pipeline than either business had independently.

The rebrand comes at a time when PBSA is increasingly recognised as essential social infrastructure, with supply lagging student numbers across Livensa Group’s core markets. By expanding the provision of modern, professionally managed student housing, the platform aims to help ease pressure on local rental markets and support a healthier balance between student and general housing demand. Strong relationships with municipalities and universities underpin this strategy, reflecting the role PBSA plays in attracting international talent, sustaining enrollment and supporting local economic growth.

Alongside the rebrand and launch of its new digital identity, Livensa Group is investing in upgraded digital infrastructure to enhance the student experience from booking and move‑in through to daily life in its residences. This follows the appointment of Irene Gómez Luque as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer on 14 September 2026, tasked with advancing the Group’s digital strategy as it scales.

Carlo Matta, CEO of Livensa Group, said: “Unifying as Livensa Group is the final step in building a platform that can move faster and go further across Europe. Purpose‑built student accommodation isn’t a nice‑to‑have, it’s social infrastructure — every bed we deliver takes pressure off local rental markets, and it’s why cities and universities want to work with us. As Livensa Group, we’re committed to keep investing across Europe, on our way to 25,000 beds by 2031.”
